I just received this last night and all I could say as I unwrapped it was "WOW!". Rindskopf used just about every technique in the book when they crafted this vase. It stands 12.75" tall and is about 6.5" across at the widest. The pontil is polished as is the rim, which is crimped in a fan fold and has a ribbed texture. The texture twists around the entire vase. The bottom of the vase is pinched and dimpled. The green glass at the base fades to the pink opalescent glass at the top. Spirals of silver and gold iridescence wind their way through the pink and metallic green around the entire object. There is one small flake at the rim, but otherwise it is perfect for an object over 100 years old. This is one of the Rindskopf decors that are rarely seen on the market, especially in this size. c. 1900. Hope you enjoy! Cheers! - Bob
beyemvey, the design of the rim remind some Kralik work.
Beautiful vase, who ever made it.

Alan

Oh my goodness!!! WOW! What a stunner, Bob! This decor is at the very, very top of my Rindskopf (or any maker for that matter) 'wants' list and has been for years. What an incredible find! I am so happy for you - a wonderful addition to your already terrific Rindskopf collection! :)
Bob, can I ask you how you made the background of your pictures fade from black to white? It looks great! Thanks!
'Wow' pretty much covers it, Bob. That's amazing!
Thanks Michelle! Despite the missing tiny flake on the rim I made a strong offer on it because no telling when another would come along. I can't take credit for the photos as they were provided by the seller. I think he just used a gray paper background vs. white and didn't light the top of the paper.
Thank you swfinluv1... it was on my wish list for about 10 years :-)
Thank you jimtim & fortapache!!!

Thank you very much Penny!
Thanks Iron Lace... the only problem with these really big vases is that they fill up the shelves too quickly ;-P

Thank you Lisa & AntiqueRose!
This is such a gorgeous vase Bob! I've wanted an example of it for quite a while. I've only seen two available - one at auction, for which I was outbid, and one on ebay. It's a fantastic piece and you must feel proud to have added this to your collection :-)
Thanks Rick... that's why I pulled the trigger on this one, despite the tiny flaw, I recognized the scarcity. I made a best offer & the ebay seller accepted. HAPPY DAYS :-)
I've done business with Dave, the eBay seller, many times and I have all the confidence in the world in him. He knows his glass and only sells quality.
Wow! Beautiful!
Absolutely Rick, top notch seller. I gave him my highest praise in feedback!
