From what I understand this was a top maker in the late 19th early 20th century. These razors are apparently fairly collectable and come in a number of styles with different blade shapes and handle materials.
I've read that joseph elliot blades can sometimes be dated by the placement of the made in England markings. While I have not searched thoroughly, I haven't found any such mark. I am also unaware of these handles were original to this razor or are replacements.
