I have never seen a jewelry box like this before - matches my jewelry! My neighbor (she's 70) stopped over and had a look and said she has also never seen a jewelry box like this one, but thinks it must be 1950s-1960s. The little compartment on the left is hinged and can be lifted up. No marks of any kind anywhere. The inside is lined with a sort of thin red velour which looks to be original.
The box is a little worse for wear, showing signs of use. Verification that it's not brand new and off the boat last week, lol!

Interesting translucent Lucite box with unusual feet. I'd call it 50s era, maybe?
