    Good evening everyone,
I remember buying my first Aurora Monster model kit in the 1960's after seeing the built up Frankenstein model at my older cousin's house. I had to have one. Frankenstein was available at the hobby store ( Frankenstein was the 1st monster Aurora produced in 1961.) along with other monster models, wolfman, hunchback, etc. being offered. I began buying different monsters and somehow ended up with The Bride of Frankenstein model in the above photos. It is the Canadian version dated 1964. It has survived all these years with a couple of pieces falling off but stored in the model box. Painting a model wasn't as important to me as much as the actual building of it.
It would be great to have all of our childhood toys of coarse many got lost or tossed so having one or 2 actual toys is a treat!!

That's a great model. I got a Polar Lights version but regualar model glue wouldn't work on it.
CW has a category for these....

Glad you still have these and love your version where she looks like Elsa Lanchester.
Her role as the title character in Bride of Frankenstein (1935) brought her recognition. Love her restraints and chains in your model. Fantastic !

Thank you fortapache for the heads up I just switched it to toys-monster models:) What type of glue do you use for the polar lights models?

And Boris Karloff as Frankenstein! A classic movie that still has a good following so many years later. Aurora did a good job on the likeness of Elsa's face. I have always liked Aurora the best fun to build and the small pieces are durable..

Most Polar Lights use regular model cement. This one didn't. I'll need to find where I put the model as the glue is in the box.
