    Ok i bought this lamp today. Has a 2 way switch. For bright or dim. With a hand painted shade.. To me it looks like a reproduction of a hanging oil lamp? Possibly 1970s? Anyone ever see one like it?

      This stuff was very popular in the '50s through the '80s. From what I'm seeing, 1970s is likely. A picture of the plug's head will tell me everything when it's not replaced.
