Hello Fellow Collectors and Visitors. Today I got this box delivered to me. I've got all four variants of the 1937/38 Deluxe Mickey Mouse wristwatches and only had the larger Red & Cream boxing. Well the other day fellow collector and CW patron "Vonsboy" decided to thin down one of his spare boxes, just happened to be the smaller "Angled" style box. Well after conversing back and forth, we struck a deal and here's the end result of collaboration of two Collectors. Thank you Vonsboy for helping this watch find the proper boxing.
Now for the description of the watch.
This is a 1937/38 "Boy's" Ingersoll Mickey Mouse wristwatch. Ingersoll had been producing the standard Mickey for four years and decided to add a different model. The Deluxe model came in 3 different combinations of production pieces and 1 prototype (which wasn't put in production until the following style issue for 1939).The different production variants were the "Boy's"with leather strap, for the Girls a "Charm Bracelet" and the unisex metal "Bracelet" models.
I have the "Bracelet" in larger box posted, Mickeysmagic has the "Charm Bracelet" posted and Vonsboy has the "Boy's" posted. Now I've added the "Boy's" model to this extra box Vonsboy had.
These watches were introduced to the public in the Fall of 1937(production model 1938) and didn't fair very well. So these were only produced one year, the biggest complaint was the sub-dial had been changed to only one Mickey and was hard to tell the location of the seconds. Which brings us to the next model.....But that's another posting.
Thanks for looking and BIG "Thank You" to Vonsboy for dealing and turning loose of this box.

Kerry, I'm so very pleased to have been able to contribute to what is thrilling to
look at above. After the Chicago Mickey #1 this is my favorite of the American
Mickeys, the fluted, restangular case, the beautiful graphiced box would have
made it impossible for me to have passed it on a shelf as a child and absolutely
willing to risk a spanking to make one mine. I expect the "love" button will be
working overtime.Thank you Kerry for the attribution and the opportunity to
Join the "Horde"!
Vonsboy, I totally agree, the graphics on this and the other Redbox would have sold me, back then.
I truly appreciate the opportunity to add this to the "Horde", it's a very welcome addition!!!!
