Elaborately carved wooden object, almost certainly, utilitarian or ritualistic? Measures 4 ft. x 18"(not incl. iron hooks). Made of Ash(fraxinus). Would've had straps/ropes running in several different directions from and through the various slots and holes. The top(narrow edge, looking down)has small plugs of wood holding some kind of fiber/animal hair that were possibly longer tassels. The side with pentagrams is dark/oily(human?animal?oils)and worn.
Looking for any info. Possible origin, ethnicity, culture, use, etc.
    Thank you!

Makes me think of a kind of yoke (part of???).
      Very interesting!

The 2 large holes toward the centre appear to be for arms or hands. Kyra. this is no time to be yoking around.

This has been my thought for years. I have tried "wearing" this in different ways. I also think that this may have been used in ritual ceremony, sacrifice or punishment. My best guess on origin(from studying the carved symbols/iconography), is Balkans or Baltic States???
