Lundberg Studios "Galaxy" lamp

This small lamp is a deep blue satin-finished glass with iridescent silver stars and swirls. The Saturn shaped globe is 5 1/2" in diameter and the overall height, on the lighted pedestal, is just 6". The underside of the globe is signed Lundberg Studios, but not dated.

Lundberg Studios is a premier small-batch art glass studio located on the central California coastal town of Davenport. They have been there producing fine art glass since 1970. Essentially a family business, they are still there, though the founder, James Lundberg, has passed away.

The current catalog shows Saturn-shaped hanging ornaments but these lamps are no longer offered. In a dark room this lamp emits a subtle indigo glow - not a lamp in the traditional sense.
