Shortcolle…
(1 item)
Based on serial number circa 1883 to 1885 but warranty certificate says 1913. We bought at a yard sale because the gentlemen was selling for such a low price. The wood is in great condition and it came with extra parts in boxes. It also has the original directions. A nice conversation piece.
The cabinet is identical to mine, which was bought new in 1919. The machine itself is also almost identical.
Good to see some of these survived complete.
In the 80s- 90s, it was popular to trash the machine and turn the base into a side table.

What a lovely find! I have the same machine that I stumbled on at a flea market for a crazy good deal. Just got her up and running last night. What a dream :). I was wondering if you could post some pictures of underneath the cabinet both open and closed? My cabinet is not closing correctly and it would be great to have a visual.
It is a functional conversation piece. Yes double indeedy. My wife has something like it but not in this nice condition. Looks like it would save a lot of money on electricity..
