a hit from my collection, this piece named
'ST. GEORGE SLAYING THE DRAGON'
made in sandstone with a stand in wood, was produced in the
FAU + GULLARD factory in Boulogne sur Seine near Paris in the
year 1925 small time before the owners André FAU and
Marcel GUILLARD finish their collaboration(1927); André FAU continue on his own name up to begin of the 30th when he closed the factory and continue as a painter.
Marcel GUILLARD start his own production with the financial support from Edmond ETLINGowner of the Editon ETLING;
Sculptor for this piece was the swiss artist Willy WUILLEUMIER.
He creates a lot of forms for all type of Art Deco ceramics
and as a friend of Marcel GUILLARD follows him after the separation with André FAU to his new factory financed by Edmond ETLING.
