These belonged to my mother and my grandmother before her. I really treasure them and use them whenever possible. Between the three of us we have now collected a seating for 12 with all the various vegetable bowls, candy dishes, S&P, butter dish, teapot, I could go on and on.
One of my favorites.
I know what you mean Steeltoad63. Funny, there was a time in my youth that I wouldn't take a second look at that pattern and now I just love it.
How nice to grow up in Vermont. My daughter and family live in NH now (where I always wished I lived!) and I hope to move to the area soon. Thanks for the comment
LOL is right! Although I do like being up north to a point. I spent many weeks with an aunt and uncle in Bellows Falls, way back when.
And by the way, thank you so much for your service in the military.
My husband and I bought a service for 8 of Spode's Pink Tower while on our honeymoon in 1968 near Lake Louise, Canada. We use our dishes every day, and still love them!
I agree LadyJane. We might as well use them and enjoy them. One piece I have yet to get is the turkey platter. Even though I have several serving pieces I am sure there are more out there waiting for me to buy them!
I have the cheese plate and cover for this design, its currently up in the loft but i could get it out and send you a photo if you want?
It does look lovely on display like that.
I'd love to see it. It seems in that time period there was a separate dish for every thing on the table.
