This beautiful 4.5" rose bowl was made by Gary Levi of Levay art glass. It is signed "Levay 1987". Gary Levi (Levay) was an American contemporary artist who was born in Hungary in 1945. He worked for the Fenton Art Glass Co. for some time and eventually opened his own art glass studio in Illinois. The bowl features a pulled glass design with a very vivid surface iridescence. It bears a resemblance to some of Tiffany's Favrille glass.

Thanks J. Scott... I think a mold was used, but the shape was then worked around the rim.

What a striking, organic form Bob! What I love about Levi's work, is the beautiful iridescence he uses on his pieces!
