Here is another awesome piece of pottery that I have had packed away for several years that I hope someone can help me identify. The double handled pottery vase is approximately 5 1/2" high by 8 1/4" across (handle to handle). It has a beautiful blue to blueish green glaze that is sort of mottled near the top and on the upper part of the handles and then drips down the sides of the vase.

I saw a photograph of a vase with the same shape and in a very similar glaze combination on page 55 of the book CATALINA TILE by Lee Rosenthal and in CATALINA ISLAND POTTERY COLLECTORS GUIDE by Steven & Aisha Hoefs there is a section on experimental glazes and page 30 has a similar glaze color. The clay body is white (I know that white clay was used after 1932 on Catalina) but alas it has no marks on the bottom.

I know that other pottery companies have similar shapes so I hope some of you incredibly knowledgeable souls out there can help me identify and date this beauty.

Early Haeger Pottery, circa 1930. Pretty sure that's their "Chinese Blue" glaze, but it might alternately be "Blue of Sky" glaze. Shape is "E-39b", in the size you describe.

Thanks art.pottery. You know your stuff. I have many pieces of pottery that I have had in storage for several years - some I know and some I don't so I will be posting those I need help identifying. Thank you again for your help.
