I picked this tool up after my late Father-in-law's estate auction sale, he had been an antique dealer for many years. There is not any writing on the tool at all. It is made of brass. I would like to know what the tool is called and what it was used for. I have shown it to several senior citizens and know one knows what it is.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
George
For opening clams or oysters .
we have a few of these show up. It's a Humane Poultry Killer; tho' can't say how 'humane' it actually may be in operation. And just how is one supposed to get that bird to say. "Ahhhhhh"

Great solve Tallcakes! It seems "humane" is in the intention...
I guess getting the bird to say AAAh is easier than getting a B...
;-D
Thanks TallCakes, I think you have solved my mystery, I would never have guest it.
That's great! LOL What's wrong with ringing their neck! :^D
CW & TallCakes, what a team! Coming through with the answers to our questions, again! :^)
