I found this today, pinned to the polo shirt used to display plastic/costume brooches and stick pins. The stamp is VERY tiny and very hard to see - I stared at it until I found the stamps, then saw it was a double stamp: 14K/585. Also marked KTL. I cleaned it with a soft toothbrush and some liquid dish soap, then went to my jeweler and had it examined and the stones tested. Absolutely genuine. I counted 29 Emeralds and 34 brilliant cut Diamonds plus the Ruby eye. I was told that retail price for such a brooch is about $2,400.00. (THUD!) I have no clue how she figured that amount, but there you are. I'm sure she meant that would be the cost if I had to have one MADE rather than purchasing it from a jewelry store.
I am still researching the KTL mark, so if anybody knows please comment below.
My son told me there is the money for my airline ticket to Pennsylvania to visit my family.
:-))))))))
Thanks for viewing my swan!

Good job, swany Bonnie ;-))
The 2400$ seems a bit too high though...
OMG Bonnie good for you. We all hope to hit the jackpot like this. Just gorgeous ! :)
Kyra - that's what I thought, but approx. 2,400.00 Euro is the figure she gave me as a retail price. No idea how she figured it.
Mama Mia!!! Bonnie, VERY NICE find! I mean anything over the $1.06 is great, but WOW! B^D
@ MsCrystalShip: If found an auction catalog which contains gold jewelry marked "KTL" but I have to sift through 225 auction lots to find them!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! EEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!Be still my heart!! How lucky can you get? What we all dream of--and never find.
@PostCardCollector >> this isn't the first time I've found gold jewelry in that thrift shop, but it is the first time I've found something this decadent in there!
Gee, I guess it is just me. I can tell silver, but I am lost spotting gold in a case. Oddly, I am more "attracted" to silver.--much less attracted to gold. I wonder what that means in the analysis of a personality??
PostCardCollector - I've been doing this for about 40 years, so I can practically smell it! I wear mostly silver, but recognizing gold is just a matter of experience.
Regardless of what this is worth it's stunning.
Wandlessfairy, it definitely is that!
What a lucky find !!!
Wow. Great find! So pretty, too.
Wow good for you Bonnie! Stories like that are an inspiration!
