Hi,sorry for the sideways pictures I will try to turn the pictures soon this is my new antique cuckoo clock stamped 1910 the movement is stamped G.K. I believe G.K. Stands for Gebrunder Kuner this cuckoo clock is from 1910 and is in good condition but I believe the clock in in need of repair as this clock runs for about 5 minutes and then stops or I may just need to just level it better on the wall also the cuckoo bellows maybe rawhide have torn so know cuckoo sound so sad the original bone hands have be replaced and I don't know if they will work with this clock but when I move the clock hands the bird call the half and counts the correct number of hour also can anybody tell me if the pendulum is original to this clock it look like the pendulum used with the railroad cuckoo clock a round pendulum instead of leaf the coolest thing about the clock is the life like hand painted wooden cuckoo bird anyone now mor about this cuckoo clock and what it may be worth and where and how much would it cost to repair and is it worth repairing, thanks.

I have a Cuckoo Clock by the same maker. I only have one of the pine cone weights but it looks like the two you have. I do have the bone hands but unfortunately the hour hand is missing half of it. Mine is not working yet, plan to look into getting it repaired. Have you found anything more out about these clocks?

      Hello cwvstman & Tangoes,
What you have is a George Kuehl & Co., Chicago Illinois. The stamped date in the door is very typical of the G.K. firm in that time period. As far as the pendulum, it is one of those parts easily lost or damaged over time so entirely possible it is a replacement, not a big deal on a clock like this one. Nearly everyone listing a Cuckoo with G.K. stamped on the back of the movement will make the same assumption that it stands for Gebruder Kuner and understandably so.

I have owned a few G.K.'s in my time, Cuckoo & Quails, but sold them off as my collecting trends changed toward the rare and unusual. I did however keep this Rococo' (my profile pic) as the single "G.K." example in my collection.
      Cheers, Jim

I have one in my bedroom that I bought 50 years or more ago when I was stationed in Germany. The works worked but the wood dried and ultimately popped apart. I have all the parts if you know what you need, what weight are your pine cones etc. I know the pendulum is there and I think it is the leaf one but not sure how long it is. I believe mine has a stag head but it is packed at the moment.
