really liking this 1 bill. nice thick stags , rock solid, and shaving sharp..
the thickness and length of the blade has me thinking 1940s. as does the 4 brass pins... typical of late 40s stuff and many older knives.
the ricasso indicates estab 1810 . 5800 on the obverse.
ive seen 1930s model knives like this with much shorter blades. and post war versions with longer thicker blades. that's just an observation.
I love this wood craft style and finally got a really nice 1 to use . I ordered this really nice north woods sheath to keep it happy.
the fit on this knife is still outstanding after some 60 + yrs .
ill be packing this 1 into the tree stands come sept .
its w/o a doubt , among my favs.
You've got another beauty there Whyatt, but you really have to fix your camera, or maybe your eyes! LOL It hurts my eyes just to look at the pictures of it! B^)
