Yes, I made an atrocious pun in the title.

At a favourite thrift store today, I walked into the glassware aisle and was amazed when, atop a shelf, I saw two great Edwardian mugs. Typical colourful flower motif. Nothing really special, but still a good find at 79 cents and 49 cents.

I moved on a bit, the two cups in my fingers, when low on a shelf I saw 15 more!!!

Someone had donated a collection of different mugs dating from the 1890s to 1930s, from Bone China to Ironstone.

There were some interesting ones, with little pockets in them to separate the tea leaves from the liquid (but the store was asking too much at a dollar forty-nine for each of those), and there was only one I liked.... but the 3-D details were pretty badly damaged, so I left it behind.

As I was selecting mugs, some rude guy decided to pop up and start grabbing some from right next to my hand (and even under my arm as I was crouched down and reaching for one shoved way back). So what I did was, I grabbed all of the old ones I had not yet looked at and walked away to get a basket.

These are what I came home with. Most are not marked with a place of origin or company.

I assume the best had already been picked through, as one of these has a fissure, and two have chips (with all showing wear), but they will be used and enjoyed.

The green one seemed very out of place, being the only one without a motif to it, but I like it.

Thank you both, Martika and TheGatherer.
I often try to have at least a little story.

Bill, sadly I have nothing to shave. LOL.

Flowers are the most common themes from the time. The decals were often shared by many different manufacturers.
