I bought this doggie along with the Victorian silver. Weighs A BUNCH. Looks like a bear but it's a dog. Many years ago, I had a Bouvier named Bear who was bailed out of a local animal shelter. He was huge and everyone at the shelter was afraid of him. I don't know why. He was the SWEETEST, loveliest boy on Earth. All 85 pounds of him. Maybe, just maybe, I have him back again.
:-)))))))
Thanks for visiting my dog.
Bonnie
Aw how cute Bonnie!!!
A toe banger! But cute as.
Kind of like a skipperkey dog, which I don't know the spelling now, a friend had. Love the 4th photo where it really looks like a skip. Love this memory of yours ! :)
So cute :-)
That face! Bear looks like a real sweetie.
How cute is he!!!
Bear is back for you :-D
@Phil - Bear's head was as big as my head. He was an exceptionally large, old style Bouvier and measured about 80 cm at the shoulder. In the "old days" Bouvier des Flandres dogs were used to pull small carts and herd sheep and cattle. With his paws on my shoulders, his head was above mine (I'm 5'6"). I loved him dearly and wish I could have him all over again. He died 18 years ago.
Schipperkes are tiny Belgian dogs with very fox-like faces. I see quite a few of them as I am 15 minutes from the Belgian border.
Aaarff ! :)
We continue to love our babies looking at pictures long ago or even in a bronze figure. Excellent find.
byrdnest - my eyes still burn with tears when I look at photos of Bear. I came home with an albino dwarf rabbit the size of my hand, aged 5 weeks old. Guess who adopted her.....guess who she slept with during the day, in a sunbeam.
:-)))))
Sorry to hear that, he looks wonderful !
They are a great dog a friend of mine had one the Bouvier was totally dedicated to him. They are a strong dog I had 140 pound Malumute husky and they would wrestle around best pals.
Thanks to all~!
Heartwarming story about your Bear and the albino rabbit ! :)
Not sure how I managed to miss this one. He's really outstanding Bonnie! What a GREAT find!
