The last of my nut chopper series although I have one other red topped piece to go that I display with the choppers. This one uses a jar with the Hazel Atlas markings on the bottom. There are several I saw that have the metal portion marked Androck but this one has no markings as to the maker.
The nuts go into the top portion and are then ground up and collected in the jar. It was probably quite the handy device when it came out. They seem to be fairly common so they must have worked well.
I just chopped up an acorn although I had to break it up with a hammer first. I'll give it to the chipmunks.
Thank you

I have one of these! Been in the family longer than I've been alive. It's an Androck nut meat chopper and the sides are straight. Nobody chucked it because, well, crap- it occasionally comes in handy... I love these ancient "food processors". We've been mechanizing the kitchen for ages now, in so many surprisingly effective ways.
Thank you very much spotterpup. Ancient food processors are fun and they worth at least something.
