I picked these up a while back. I have two old shaving soap wooden containers with some cool graphics on them. Then I have a vintage shaving kit. One piece is missing from the kit. The top of the razor is marked Gillette. The case is leather from England and a couple of the stainless pieces are marked that they are from England. Hope you enjoy! Anyone have any ideas as to specific age range?

1950s my guess Cowhide sets were popular after the War.

Sorry thought it was leather. But still think 50,s

Pre WW2 a lot of sets were metal cases , 1960, plastic, normally so I would guess 1948 -1960 the pieces in yours look fifties to me think it's missing nail clippers.

I love the top hat, gloves & cane on the front! Cowhide is leather. Leather is a cow's hide.

You can date it by the cover of the blades. Here are the examples & dates (almost at bottom of page) :

The soaps are wonderful as well.

Thanks for that date range, Roy-that makes since that it's probably missing nail clippers-it was probably the item that was used most. The razor looks like it might have never been used.

Thanks, Celine-I will have to compare that article and see. I don't think that the razor blades have ever been opened.

The nail clipper may be missing, but the all-important bottle opener is there!

Celiene, I think you and Roy are right about the nail clippers. I had wondered what might have been there, but that makes sense

Here you go. Basically it's like dating a Zippo Lighter. Both have extensive info:

BTW, this is a very nice kit! Is that a fat boy?

Shareurpassion, thanks for the info! It does look like a fat boy, but not entirely sure!

      Cool set!
My guess as to the missing piece is mustache and/or nose hair scissors. But then with the nail file there, clippers seem likely.

Karenoke-I just saw the same one online and you are right, the missing piece is scissors.
