    I have been given this beautiful vase and with 5 young children I wondered if its worth putting it away safe. I dont know origin or dates just it looks very detailed any advice would be great

      Japanese, and I think oldish, as in early 20th century. It possibly would not be worth a fortune but is very beautiful and deserves love. I would keep it out and look at it, and hope the kids would love it too! Some risk, but a lot of pleasure :)

      I've got one that looks alot like this, I've been wondering about mine too, I'll post a pic when I get home!

      actually this is a complicated trick , it looks japanese satsuma , , but it reads Zhonnuo zhizao which means Made in China

      and the dilution of mark indicates a date from the seventies ( 1970)
