      And I would think only people who knew what it was would reply...sorry, this is my first post... Will give more info next time..

      Looks like a B&J lantern slide projector (definitely not a camera). I'll check my catalogues to see if anything similar is listed.

      In the 1914 Burke & James "Cameras Photographic Apparatus Catalog No.13", this is listed as an "Ingento Enlarging Lantern." The device is basically a side mounted photographic projector / enlarger. There were several models that varied by size and the type of lighting. The projection lens appears to be missing.

      The item in the first picture is a light source known as an "Ingento Hand Feed 90 degree Arc Lamp." It could produce 500 to 3000 candle power.
