I found this demitasse cup and saucer at a random antique liquidation sale.
The beehive marks do not match, but the cup with the portrait of Louis XV seems genuine Viennese porcelain.

Anybody has any ideas as to wether it was part of a set?
Did all other pieces have the same portrait?
Was every portrait done free hand by the artist or it was stensilled somehow?
      The age?

Does it look like it has little tiny dots (even if elongated) making it up, when you view it up close?

If you mean in the gold design, yes.

Usually such detailed pieces are appliques, similar to transferware but more high-quality and detailed.
