    Hi

I guess we have all done it - bought something on impulse and then spent ages and ages researching it!

I am trying to date and identify when and where this tankard was made.
From what I have found on line, the "rose and crown" stamp was a sign of quality and initally used in the UK until around the 18th century. It has, however, been suggested to me that the shape leans towards German/Flemmish origin of the same period.

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Paul

p.s.. i dont know why... but the photos are the wrong way round... I tried rotating them..nothing works sorry.!
