This trunk was bought in Wild Rose, WI circa ~1952. It was given to my father by his father, which is now given to me by my father. No manufacturing marks are to be found. It is thought to be hand carved, made of mahogany or oak. The sides are joined by tongue and groove. Any thoughts on where and when it was made are appreciated.

Wow! That is really beautiful. I thought it was a jewelry box, I have one very similar, but no...this is a large trunk?! Amazing. We have lots that know about trunks, I'm sure they'll be by to give you some info.
