I found this brooch at the Flea Market this past Sunday.
It is a “Bronco Cowboy” copper brooch attributed to Frank Rebajes c1950.
After searching for this brooch on line, I found one at an Auction House that said it was by Frank Rebajes, but because there is no mark on it I say "attributed to"! :^)
I found this material, so just messing around with the pictures on it!
Thank you for looking, any comments welcome! :^)
Here's an interesting story from "Modern Silver" about Frank Rebajes's life:

and Thomas,
it's much appreciated! :^)
I hope you were able to read Frank Rebajes's life story! Truly, a rags to riches, of a hard working, American Immigrant.
You're very welcome Mary, the only reason that I'm attributing it to Rebajas, is because it's the same piece that an Auction house had listed as Rebajas. I guess I should put a link to that site also! :^)
Thank you much for the love Too!
Here's a link to igavel auctions:

They had it listed as Rebajas, as per an old catalogue.
Thank you Mani, for lovin the little Bronco Cowboy brooch! :^)
Very interesting link billretirecoll. Started with nothing and had a fantastic ride with his loving wife at his side. Sad ending though:(
Thank you for your comment roddy, and the love! :^)
I know it was a surprise, and very sad ending to Frank's life! :^(
Sorry for being late to this discussion but your attribution should probably be reassessed. I have looked at the auction house link provided. If you compare the evaluated item with the picture provided (from the Copper Art Jewelry book) of an actual Rebajes item, it is difficult to miss the style differences. Auction houses are notorious for mistaken assessments and I believe this is one. I own a copy of that Copper Art Jewelry book by Matthew Burkholz and there is nothing like this "Bronco" pin in any of his material. I have personally handled and sold well over a hundred pieces of Rebajes copper and have never had anything like it (or anything that wasn't marked). I would be careful about attributing this to Rebajes.
Thanks Harry, for the information, I had nothing else that gave me any information on this Brooch, and that's why I went with "attributed to", not by Rebajes. I still have this Bronco Brooch, and if sold would only sell it on it's looks, because it's unmarked, I think that that's enough, Rebajes, or not, I love it! :^)
I hope this is better late than never, Jenni, but thanks for looking, and for the love you gave! :^)
Hey Eileen, thanks for stopping by, and for the love you gave! :^)
