Please look closely at all these photos and tell me if it's worth anything. I have a friend who owns this and wanted me to do some research on it. What time period, what country, etc.. I cannot find anything like it anywhere. It is quite heavy for it's size, and I think it may be made of brass, but not sure. Can you tell by looking,,,what it's made of? It is 8-10 inches tall and about 4 inches round the middle. The colored sections are inlayed into indentations or carvings into the metal.
Any and all help, advice and comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking.
I have no clue on how to catagorize this,,,pottery/urns/vases/bottles/kitchen???
I have an "urn" similar to the one in the picture, but it has a different design and the painted design is show in the middle and at the neck also. On the bottom of my "urn" is a metal tab stating "Made In Japan". The urn is all metal but the designs seems to be made of a different material. Tell me, is it of any value? I like it because it's different!!!
