Pottery piece from a New Mexico estate. They traveled the world. Can't be more vague than that. LOL. 3" tall. 3" widest. 2" opening narrowing to 1". 1.5" base.
Burnished beautifully. Dark brown clay not black.
    Maybe Mexican? African?

I'm wondering if this is the black or blackened pottery I have just come to see recently. I know it's not the black on black from Maria and ... those are Native American.

I hope you know, I'm thinking aloud! But you may just have a little something here. I'll try and remember so I can pass it on to you.

It is starting to look blackened to me. Thanks

Wait a minute, is this wood? It is isn't it? I just looked again and I didn't realize it's wood. ???

      It's pottery. Clay.
