YOU can insulate YOUR home!! This painted steel sign probably dates from the 1950's. Measuring roughly 20"x32" or so, I got it from what was then the Simpson-Powelson Lumber Co. in Galesburg IL when I worked there in the early 1980's. I don't remember handling/selling Schundler Mica Pellets by that time (lots of pink fiberglass insulation bundles, though) if they were even still being made, the product might have been determined to be "hazardous" by then...? My absolute favorite part about this sign has always been its depiction of the 'lady of the house' in her dress and high heels, standing on a plank dumping a bagful of "easy to handle" mica pellets into her rafters...? <lol>

Yuppers Trey -- she's rocking that dress and shoes! <giggle> Wonder how comfortable she was on the ladder/etc to get up to her attic, not to mention what she thought of dragging those 'easy to handle' bags of the stuff up there too...not to mention that most people's attics tend to be slightly way too HOT places to be even in the wintertime...?? <LOL>

THANKS too to fort and YGHS for the <loves>!! :-) :-) :-)
