The Chicago Electric Mfg. Co. was making space heaters like this from the 1930s until 1953 when it was purchased by Silex. The examples made in the 1930s had fancier base. Streamlined was in in the late 1940s-50s so I am thinking it is from that period. It is a very solid cast iron base. Stamped metal bases replaced cast iron in the 1950s.
This heater has a 10" reflector dish and an excellent metallic turquoise finish. Unfortunately it does not have the copper dish of the earlier models but does have the attractive art deco styling.
I have a fan also made by Chicago Electric, it is the Handy Breeze......
