These are two versions of the same Greek trumpet shape. The first one is a powder decor in black and red. Whenever you see the black or red glass powders the pieces are usually rare.
The second is a more common transcluscent opal glass. I have seen many shapes for this glass but not in anything hand formed like this. If you notice the details the foot and rim they are worked by hand with slight imperfections; I appreciate this in these types of pieces.
The central ribbing is caused by blowing the piece inside a mold. Thank you, Jericho
1. Powder Decor
2. Close up of the internal decor and hand worked rim
3. Translucent glass
4. Close up of the foot; notice the difference between the geometric foot and the hand-worked disc application
Both beautiful forms like the restraint full decor on first vase & the simplistic opalescent vase
