These were bought at a yard sale. I put pictures of the box they were in both right side up and upside down because I couldn't tell which was which. Hopefully someone will be able to read what's on the box to tell me what these bracelets are made of or any information about the origin of them. There are no marking on the bracelets themselves. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.
Very cute!
In the third pic, I think I see a mark of some sort. It's on the bracelet closest to your finger tips, next to the two balls. But I could be seeing a reflection. Good luck!
The telephone number is in Hindu numerals, so India.

They r from India....
Made of lac, a resin,,, very much common in our place....that is the name of the shop written on the box.....Mangal Emporium
U can find them even on Amazon...
Search for lac or lakh bangles
First, thank you all for your comments. Karenoke, I've looked closely at each bangle and there is not a makers mark, just marks where they were put together. If someone could read the rest of the box it might help in knowing what the gold is. Is it costume or is it real gold? medicoirfan, I looked on Amazon but did not find any that were like these. I Googled the name Mangal Emporium and did not find anything so far that would help me, but I will keep looking. I appreciate your input. :-)
Mangal Emporiums are all over India. Did you spell it correctly? I Googled & a whole bunch came up, Mumbai, Delhi, Surajpor, etc.
Lakh bangle designs vary by regions in India.
In the third photo, it looks like the gold colour is worn on the outside of the little beads.
Yes Celiene I Googled it earlier also and copied and pasted in Google but I did not find any bangles that were similar to these. Thank you for your comments and for trying to help me. I have found out from someone that the print is in Hindi from what they said. That may help with another lead. Again, thank you for your comments. The search continues...
Mangal means auspicious ....so there will be thousands of shops in this name.....and bangles are considered as a sign of marriage (like ring) specially lakh bangles....indicating that the lady is not a widow.......
The print is in Gujarati.....A regional language of state of Gujarat in India
Most of bangle designs are not available on internet......unorganized industry....
medicoirfan, thank you so much for the insight and your kind consideration. I truly appreciate your help.
