I fear I have not found any information on this. The only other example is a tin on the net is a tin and this one is all cardboard.
What drew me to this is the rat artwork on the front which is typical of products from before the turn of the century until around the 1950s. Perhaps I should say 1066 just to mess with people selling these online to see if they quote me on this. Used in the Battle of Hastings etc.
The canister is just shy of 7 inches tall. Seems to be about half full. Not going to open it as it could harm the cats. And despite my hatred of gophers I don't want the coyotes and bobcats around here eating poisoned gophers.

Warfarin: good for your blood clot problem; if you have one. i am not sure if King Harold had one either.

Thank you very much racer4four. You can see it in the Bayeux Tapestry.

Might not be as old as 1066, they just used a man with a big axe to control rats back then, or baked them into a pie. The patent number dates to 1947 so must date from soon after that time I'd think.

Thank you very much elanski. 1947 is probably a bit more accurate.
