This picture is not as clear as I would like...the long braided hangers are a twist of cream and pale green..the tops of the tassels are a tight knotted pale green followed by a pale silky round ball with pale green & cream stripes & surrounded at the bottom by a line of the tight knotted green..followed by a larger round ball described as above and then 5-1/2" of cream colored soft fringe. The total length is just about 24 inches. I have a total of 14 of these and each one is a double strand.
they are without question "antique" and quite beautiful..I was told they are called tassels but I do not know what they are used for. I will try to take some more pictures ..I took this one outside on a very sunny day..will try
taking more inside.
These came to me a long time ago when I purchased a large box of
old linens at a house sale.
I have been advised that these are not antique so I apologize. Also that they are used to draw back curtains. Must have been pretty heavy ones at that.
Curtains tie backs... Not necessarily antiques (antiques by definition are more than 100 years) :-)
