    (102 items)

A 2.00 thrift store find. No marks that I can find.
I'm fairly sure they are not turquoise, thanks to prior CW teachings.
I feel almost certain the back, spring clip is silver. But the front metal is magnetic. But what are they used for? I think even if the springs were tightened they wouldn't stay on my ears.
All guesses, thoughts and knowledge welcome!
    Thanks for looking!

They really are SMALL, and I think they are earrings. They just look too little to be dress clips and no grip on them to be shoe clips.
But, what do I know, LOL!

Lol, oh no Bonnie knows nothing....lol
I was waiting for you to see them, so thank you for your input. Much appreciated!
And Valentino97, I'm stuck between what you and Bonnie both think as I've though of all the aforementioned. I was thinking if the spring could be tightened I'd like to use them as shoe clips or even to dress up my neckline of a shirt or dress. But they are well used and seem almost to delicate to do much of anything with. But what about the clip itself? Do either of you agree they look like silver?
I know how to test gold, but have only recently taken an interest in silver. So I need to google silver test.
      Thanks so much...

These remind me of collar clips to go on the pointy ends of a man's shirt..........:-)
    4. TassieDevil TassieDevil, 8 years ago
Or might even work as cuff decorations......that is a guess lol!

Collar clips make sense, considering how small they are. But also because of the angle of the clip. Wow, another great idea. I really think you solved my mystery.
      Thank you so much TassieDevil!

Oh great!!! I hope this is right for you. I normally associate these clips with country & western attire and worn with a matching Bolo (tie).

Pretty! They look like earrings to me, sometimes with older ones like this they're too loose to wear.

I appreciate all of the kind thoughts TassisDevil, I actually own a bolo and hats. Can't wear the hats anymore due to my internal heater is all the heat I can stand....lol
And Pebble, earrings seem to be the most common guess. And I suspect that is correct. But I can't foresee them being tightened enough to wear. Either way, I love them and thanks to all the comments I have options...lol

      Thanks so much everyone!
