I found this little glass in a second hand store twelve months ago and paid 20 cents for it.
It is a Georgian wine glass, OXO decorated rim, funnel bowl, facet cut stem, raised conical foot. OXO refers to the decorative addition of an engraved circle/star pattern around the lip of the glass.
When tapped it rings a beautiful bell tone.
The foot is larger than the rim which is a good indicator of an earlier glass.
I believe it dates to c.1790.
A handsome piece that was waiting for your appreciative eye. Thanks for posting it.
Many thanks Budek, scandinavian_pieces, Mavericklane & ozmarty!
Please tell me you use this. Long hot day of searching for treasure, get home and pour yourself a nice cold lemonade....
A tipple, me? It's an Iittala whisky glass of soda for me. Happy Holiday, Amber!
As long as you look good with the appropriate glassware...
Happy Easter V!

Many thanks bratjdd and toracat too!
Very nice glass. English facet stem glasses, starting coming into fashion in the 1770s and died out around 1800. There are lots of copies, but yours looks right in the photo, with the slightly grey colour and tooling marks in the foot.
