Found this among my wife's late uncles personal items. I can't find a match on any sites I've tried, and don't know where else to look. Any information would be helpful.

Are there any stamps on it at all? Or the other piece, is it stamped? And I wonder if they do belong together and how? Very interesting and what a great old whistle!

No stamps noticed off hand. I may wipe it off with some alcohol, & see if I can notice anything with magnification. I hadn't really studied it too closely yet. The small silver item also on the ring I was told may be an old watch key.

one ETSY listing has this as 1910s-20s French Round Pewter Whistle. If you're on facebook you might check The Whistle Gallery group.

I will check out the etsy listing. The gentleman this belonged to was in combat throughout Europe during WWII. It has been suggested to me this could be an old police, or naval whistle.
      Thanks for the feedback everyone!
