So this is the first plique a jour piece ever owned by me, never knew what plique a jour was, or even heard of it, until I came here, and because of you great members, especially kyratango, I knew it when I saw it. A big fellow, 2 1/2" x 1 1/2", no marks. It's only too bad this isn't a suncatcher as imagine it hanging in a window with the light flashing on this swordfish as if it were leaping out of the water bright and shiny rainbows of color flashing through the air. Sharing with all my pals here, thanks for looking.
And now I know, too! That's really pretty, Katherine.

Thanks, Bonnie, I thought sure you'd seen Pascale's plique a jour pieces, take a look on her page, she's got some beauties! By the way, Helen Chugg has managed to get me deleted out of another FB group, LOL! :))
Thanks for the love, bijoucaillouvintage, and nutsabotas6. :)
I love plique a jour, don't own any! I admire all of Pascale's, and this is just way cool and cute. Is it enamel or resin? I don't care was just wondering.
(love the being kicked out of ANOTHER FB group - geez, stop offending the delicate will ya!)

Karen, I haven't the foggiest whether enamel or resin, perhaps Pascale can clue us both in, but as I recall with her pieces, enamel. Glad you like my fishy! :) As for the group thingy, well let's just say some people think very highly of themselves, lol. :)) Bons is good friends with good old Hels, ha ha!

That's a happy leaping fellow! I love him a lot, as much as you, my friend :-))
I think it is cold enamel, aka resin, as the brooch is costume.
This doesn't detract at all its beauty!
