I believe this was my great grandfathers trunk, so I'm guessing mid to late 1800's. I'm not sure what the letters B.L.G on the side mean. The size is about 34w X 21d X 23h. It is in pretty good shape, considering the age, the bottom is scratched up though. I can't find any other markings on it to determine exactly where it is from or the value of it. The leather handles on the sides are still in decent condition. Any information that anyone has on it would be a great help.

Hey Cherylb12, look's like a vulcanized fiber covered flat top, from the hardware, I would say more like early 1900's up to 1920 give or take a little. Without a makers label, hard to say who made it, unfortunately this trunk has very little monetary value, but if it belonged to your grandfather, that makes it worth more to you. greendog

Thank you for the information. I will probably try and clean it up a little and keep it in the house.
