Im very pleased to share with you I belive a pair of Early c1895 Loetz with the deco name.... ‘Metallrot ridized’.
To have found one would have made me very happy but! a pair...is very exciting..
When I recieved them they were so dirty with dried flowers and soil still inside, using a teeny bits of gravel and warm soapy water and gently swished, I managed to get them nice and clean.
They are a very beautiful pair and the colour and iridescent is wonderful..they stand just over 7.3/4 inches tall.
I'd like to thank the wonderful people at Loetz.com for their help.
Many thanks for taking the time to look...
Stunning and Wonderful Pieces!! The Best !!
They're lovely - great find! I've had some very dirty vases, too...some even had dead bugs in them! I find denture cleaning tablets very effective for cleaning stubborn dirt out of vases, especially if they have a convoluted or narrow interior. Just leave to soak overnight & then rinse out.
These are interesting and quite subtle and lovely. With that bronze colouring and shape they look almost like earthenware from a distance, but there is no doubt they are glass up close! You always acquire such rare and interesting glass Inky!
ZWOW !!! A PAIR !!!!
Absolutely magic inky & a pair !!!!!!!!
Penny, very interesting and attractive piece, a pair a big BONUS.
Regards
Alan

Hi Inky ... Very nice!
Pretty sure they should be metallinrot / metalrot or similar ... Makart is meant to have a Orange fading to Opal ... while these are solid color ...
No sign of a Dek # by any chance ?
Cheers
Hello Steve...doesn't matter how much willing and looking at the bases I do, I don't see any marks..:-(... the colour of the pair I would call is a burnt orange with all over gold iridescence..I have one of these (link below) and a completely!! different colour..thank you...:-)

This one of Warren's is the arhetype for "Makart" ... who was a Viennese Artist who actually had a festival day named after him ... (Wikipedia) ...
