I hope the whole photo shows or I'll have to add photos tomorrow.
Since I have sold my Chevy 73k5 Blazer, (I often refer to my car as my truck) I have wanted another truck badly and finally came across this baby!
It's a 1965 Chevy C20. It's got a complete 283 HO Small Block engine. For those that don't know, the HO is High Output. This engine was refined and stated to be the best engine since the first one in 1957. It had 3 on the tree, but previous owners changed it over to the floor ;( but that's all good anyway.
The previous owner thought it had a blown head gasket...wrong! You should have seen the plugs. They were plugged with grease and oil. Amazingly, cleaned them, didn't even get new ones yet, and cleaning all the gunk and she's already purring like a kitten! Once she gets looking a little better, I'll take more photos and show you. I love being able to practically sit inside the engine compartment. You just can't do that with today's cars or trucks! The body is pretty straight, just a couple dents that need an easy fix and a paint job...That's it! Best of all, I got it for a half a song, not even a song and dance!!!
Hey Valentino...you ready to ride??? I'm comin' ta get ya!!! LOL Summertime and havin' some fun!
Enjoy!!!
Love the old chevys!!
Meeee too! I really got lucky with this one...
Will be nice to see photos of it returning to it's original beauty!
roddyq...I can't wait till it gets done! Sooo excited. I drove my other Chevy everyday and every where for 20 years! Full convertable. Used to take out the back seat, put it by the camp fire and had the best spot to sleep. Way better than any tent! Won't be doing much camping in this one, although it could easily be done!
Thanks fort for the love! Much appreciated...
nice pickem up............. '-)
Lol....Now your talkin, Three in the Tree // Four on the Floor ...Keep the dirty side down and the shiny side up....LOL.
Yup, cleaning those plug made a big difference!! That is a SWEET Ride. Are you gonna name her? She looks like a "Jeze-A-Bell" to me!!
And all it needs is a wax job !
People try to get patina like that added these days. No paint needed I think!

Apologies to those I haven't thanked yet! I've been on the road all day and every time I think I have a minute to say thank you for sharing my enthusiasm, I get interrupted! I promise I'll be back later tonite or at the latest tomorrow morning!

My guy has no interest in vintage or antiques. He likes my vintage shirts, but that's about it. *Chuckles and shakes my head.* We have no hobbies in common but get along splendidly.
That's all it takes then...wait a minute, ya'll must have SOMETHING in common!!! Bet I know what that must be ;)))))
Sounds like a Roadtrip I'd love if we could guarantee a few days of sunshine and not the dull rain, drizzle and now Snow ! here in the uk ha ha. Don't paint and enjoy.
Thanks to those that stopped in and loved! It's appreciated ;)
