This Early American Pattern Glass jar was produced by the Co-operative Flint Glass Company of Beaver Falls, PA circa 1887 and is in the shape of a beehive. The pressed glass jar has a lid with a small cut out for the spoon. Although it's in the shape of a beehive and one would think of it as a honey pot, the company actually advertised it as a mustard jar.
This piece measures 4 3/4" in height and 3" diagonally across the base.
A similar form was reproduced by LE Smith Glass for Martha Stewart but not in this beautiful red color.
That is pretty neat. Glass over 100 years old is something special.
