Very hesitantly, I wonder if this is entirely new?
It is a reactive uranium glass with light gold iridescence.
It has tadpoles, which have been ground down at the base, possibly recently.
One tadpole almost has a claw, but I think this is just how it has joined the patterned glass surface.
It is a shape that is highly reminiscent of other Kralik-attributed pieces.
It is 12.5cm high x 18cm diameter with a 9.7cm rim.
Love Tadpoles !!!!
gorgeous piece of glass Ian thanks for sharing !!!!
N=1 at the moment so unsure despite multiple Kralik-y attributes!
Ian, I could be wrong, but I thought Alfredo once posted about this 'flower' molded pattern being quite rare, and about it being Kralik? It has all of the attributes of Kralik to me, and I do love the molded pattern.
Just found an image in my files of one in green - let me see if I can post it for you to see.
Thanks, Michelle, that décor is called leaf and is quite a bit different from this - look at the base of mine for a particularly good idea as the sides would need multiple pics from lots of angles to build a good picture.
What a great vase, love the eridesence and the shape and those tadpoles really take it up a notch...:-)
Lovely Ian, so much going on in one little vase
Ian, you are right - yours is much more intricate - in the base I can see daisies with a leafy frond - very pretty. Sorry, I was on my iPad and couldn't see it as clearly as I can on my desktop today! :)
Not "entirely new" in my humble opinion. Beautiful Czech. piece. Bob
