This is Genuine Cannon Oiler Size No. 3 made by the Cannon Oiler Company. Research on this shows mostly sports related information due to the team and a player named Cannon.
Anyway I did find and old magazine ad and another site with information on this oiler.
To back up a bit this is the type of oiler used on steam locomotives and other train equipment. I have seen the train crews using oilers like these on the their steam locomotives atrial museums. It could be used on any large piece of equipment of course.
This piece is 25" long and according to information I found the size no 3 should be 19.5" tall. Not a problem as a piece was added to the tip otherwise this would be 19.5" tall.
The ad I found was from 1919. So circa 1919 it is.

I have an old oiler. Same spout as this, but I'm sure mine was not made for cannons. So yours take the "really cool" factor. Nice!

Thank you very much Karenoke. Probably made for a locomotive though.

Hey Fort, check out my oiler. Not the same as yours, but mine must be for trains too
