This was in my mom's jewelry collection from the late 30's or early 40's. I think it is old pawn from NM. It is 2 inches wide with a 6 1/2 circumference with a gap of 1 1/3 inches. There are stamps of snakes, arrows, and sunsets or sun rises. It is not signed. I think it is coin silver, but I am not sure. I think the turquoise is King's Manassa, but I am not sure. Does anyone have some ideas about this piece.
I cannot help but I really like it! It's always nice to have something from mom:)
any marks?
No marks. It could be older than the 3os. It might have belonged to my grandmother!
Is there any silver stamp on inside of cuff? It is early 1970's, Navajo with a touch o Zuni . if i knew the weight i could compare with the cuffs i have. Nice chucnky Turq as well.
Early 70's -early 1980's, but definately not older than 1970's though.
is there any way you can show a pic of the inside?
In my store id price it between 400-600 US dollars.
I know it is as old as I am! I loved looking in my mom's jewelry drawer at 5 years old and that was in 1950! I think I remember her telling me that Dad gave it to her in the late 30s when they traveled in New Mexico. It has no stamps. She rarely wore it as it was too big for her at it is for me.
