I'm not sure why I like plates so much. I just do. I head toward the glass and dinnerware first upon entering thrift stores, just to find stuff like this.

My favourite flower is the daffodil, so imagine how happy I was to find the Daffodil plate. The mark on the back was used from C. 1880-1891.

As for the other, there is nothing on the back to ID it, but I'd expect similar age.

Another great find, The one on the left would make a nice clock It's already marked off for the hours (with a little rotation) Maybe make a HD scan on photo paper and mount it over a dollar store clock face.

Ours opened up a couple weeks ago.
Interesting observation. A bit gaudy and distracting for a clock, though?
      Thanks for the comments.

Na not if ya like Daffodil's and or use claer hands, Only you will know the time. Others might think it gaudy but when was the last time you worried what others think ;D

I kind of wish the plate were in yellow. LOL.

Yeah my Daffodil's are, You could change that on the image tho

My favourite type of daffodil, is the type above, but with the orange trumpet-like part, rather than all yellow.

Have both but most have the orange center, I agree they look much better just wish they lasted longer however you can dig them up and freeze them for a few weeks then re-plant and they will bloom again, I used to do that with Tulips too but now I just enjoy them while they last (small freezer these days)

      Most here are all yellow.
Now, do you have the rare Burgundy iris?

Love to have any Burgundy flowers but no I don't, Had Black Tulips and thought I dug out the correct bulbs before a new porch was built in there place however they never came back up.
( I was going to say I had a Blonde Iris but she didn't care for me LOL)
