This is a Purple encased vase with I think, pansies on it. Not sure of the maker. Very interesting and if anyone can tell me anything, I would sure appreciate it.
On the bottom of this very heavy vase, etched in the glass it says "To Evelyn From Harold With Love 1987. There is a name in lighter etching that I cannot read very well. It looks like J. Amalgam. Any help with this love story, would be great. I took so many pictures, but capturing the etching was a nightmare!

Studio of course, and by the signature placement, American.
      Lovely and interesting.

The light signature looks like something like ( ??? J ??? MEGAN) to me. Rub some white talc over the other letter there to see if anything shows up more. Can not tell if that is a J or not.

There WAS a Megan J. Kenny in Canada that passed away in 2007 but NOT SAYING it was her.....??....Just THROWING it out there. Will see if I can find some signed pieces by her to compare.......so this might mean nothing at all this artist from Canada ???

Thanks for the input antiquerose. First letter is definitely a J.
