    Found this in my great aunt's attic. We don't know much about it, but thought the picture on the inside was pretty unique. Any information someone might have would be awesome.

      Hi NDYoder, looks like 1880's 1890's barrel top/round top trunk, in my personal favorite alligator embossed tin, love it, I'am working on one at this moment. Most trunks had various lithographs inside along with colorful boarders and designs. I don't see a makers label, without one impossible to say who made it, as this style of trunk was made by numerous trunk makers at the time. Looks like someone drilled holes and put rope handles on it, also missing the tray that sets inside on the rails, overall I think it's a very nice piece. greendog

      Hi greendog. Thank you for the information. Any ideas on the best way to restore/repair it? I've read a lot of different things online, but it seems like everyone has a different opinion.
