I've seen many of these pitchers for sale on auction sites many labelled as Schneider, so on the whole and if you believe the pitch one might regard them as such, but none are signed (unusual for Schnieder pieces). I've seen them in other colour combinations also, but they mostly show up in this orange and green combo.

I have admired these pieces for a long time, but they mostly have relatively high prices attached to them, so I was lucky to get this for less that £20.

Thank you Michelle for identifying this positively as Schneider!

    It's quite a heavy piece and stands 8" (20cm)

Hi Phil, yes, your pitcher is by Schneider for sure. I had one in the other color they made - mine was a cranberry color with a very dark amethyst handle and had 'France' etched on the bottom. This pattern was in production from 1922-1925. I really love the cloudy inclusions in the body. Your pitcher was part of a water set, and came with matching glasses. These are quite sought after; I sold mine to a Schneider collector in France, so back home it went! ;)

By the way, I have read that Schneider typically did not sign their tableware pieces, so your piece, being unsigned, is very typical.

Thanks Michelle, great to have it ID'd. I have often seen them referred to as such, great to have a trusted confirmation.

My pleasure, Phil! You did very well for £20 - these often sell for quite a lot more! :)
